EPISODE 15

 

 

-> Just because Sae-hoon and Jung-min are in the sauna…again! (Lol.)

 

 

-> Sae-hoon is at the warehouse, helping and by Ji-eun’s side all day, staring at her do her work.

JE: Are you going to stare at me all day?

They end up standing side by side again, watching the rain.

SH: There was an umbrella. It was a pretty color. Of course, it wasn’t right for me at all. I couldn’t use it even when it rained because it was too pretty. One day I lost my precious umbrella. I looked for it everywhere but I couldn’t find it. And I thought then that it was for the best. It was something that didn’t suit me anyway. But I think about that umbrella every time it rains. On rainy days, I want desperately to find that umbrella and claim it as mine. Am I being greedy if I want to find it again? I decided not to waste any more time. I want to be greedy. I want you back. (umbrella = Ji-eun. Wait, why yellow umbrella? Is it because Ji-eun was wearing a yellow blouse then? Lol.)

JE: Do you think we could love again?

SH: There’s no reason for us not to start over, and no reason for us to stay together.

JE: The reason…

SH: Don’t say it’s not allowed, because that’s nonsense. If you’ve fallen for another man, I’ll let you go. If there’s someone else in your heart, I’ll let you go. But I know it when I see the way you look at me.

Meanwhile, Jung-min arrives and sees them. He grabs Ji-eun’s arm to take her away from Sae-hoon, but Sae-hoon grabs Ji-eun’s another arm. (Tu o’ war ba ito?) So Ji-eun’s stuck in between them until she tells Sae-hoon. “Please let go of me.” Sae-hoon was disappointed. (I am too!) When Sae-hoon let go, Ji-eun leaves both of them. Jung-min smiles at Sae-hoon in gratification before following Ji-eun.

 

 

Outside, Jung-min catches up on Ji-eun, he’s happy with what Ji-eun did to Sae-hoon. He tells him that he finally trusts her. They hug. (Ugh, I hate this, I really hate scene where 2 people are freaking happy while someone else is so miserable.)

 

 

And the miserable man is Sae-hoon, he’s inside his car, sulking.

 

 

-> Bok-ja talks to Sae-hoon because Ji-eun went to her the other night and cried her heart out. Bok-ja explains to Sae-hoon that 10 years ago, Ji-eun followed him to the airport and in the end, her father died from a road accident. (Ahh..this time Sae-hoon cant really pursue her because he’s partly the reason why Ji-eun’s dad died.)

 

 

Sae-hoon remembers what happened 10 years ago when Ji-eun called her (after her father died). It seems like Ji-eun is seeking comfort from him but this is what he told her, “Have you no shame? Haven’t you toyed with my feelings enough? Don’t call me ever again.”

 

EPISODE 16

 

 

-> Sae-hoon and Ji-eun are talking side by side again (for the umpteenth time!)

SH: I never knew. I never ever imagined that you’d left to see me the day I was leaving. It was all my fault. I shouldn’t have left. I shouldn’t have hung up on you like that. I turned my back on you when you needed me most, you reached out for me and I ignored your hand. I’m sorry. I had no right to hold on to you. I never knew that.

JE: You always did your best when we were together., I’m the one who broke us apart because I never knew that. So don’t feel bad. I won’t try to forget you and I won’t try to not forget you either. I’ll just let everything take it’s course. I’ll go ahead and miss you if I feel like I miss you. And that’s how I’ll go on with my life. Maybe one day, well be able to see each other one last time and smile.

 

 

-> When Sae-hoon and Ji-eun walk past each other at the office but ignoring each other. Sae-hoon’s pin falls, Ji-eun calls SAe-hoon to wait up, she picks it up and put it on his hand. It was a Sae-hoon - Ji-eun moment, but Jung-min had to call and ruin it! (Ugh!) Ji-eun was hesitant to take the call at first but she eventually did. Jung-min drops another oh-so-cheesy line, “My heart pounds when you don’t answer the phone right away you know? You’re going to give me a heart disease.” (Huhum, although I also say that heart disease thing sometimes…because of this hot Korean papeis…they’re giving me a heartburn, arrhythmia and all sorts of heart diseases that exist.) Sae-hoon has no choice but to leave Ji-eun, Ji-eun in turn follows him with a meaningful stare.

 

 

-> Jung-min called pala because he had lunch, err, more like a picnic, prepared. Ji-eun was standing while Jung-min was preparing. Jung-min goes, “Do you wanna eat standing up? I don’t care if we eat lying down as long as we eat together. When the food goes down, it’s all digested the same way anyway.”

Jung-min stands up but Ji-eun decides to sit. Jung-min follows.

JM: This is heaven! And there’s even an angel sitting in front of me! (*roll eyes* Oh, that was me rolling my eyes, not Jung-min. Lol. He never runs out of cheesy lines!)

They go on eating and Ji-eun didn’t finish hers. Jung-min goes, “I’m not fond of chubby women anyway.” He goes to eat Ji-eun’s leftover. Ji-eun was kind of uncomfortable.

 

 

Jungmin gives Ji-eun vitamins. Ji-eun remembers a scene from Episode 1 when she gave Sae-hoon vitamins also. She smiles at this memory. Jung-min notices this and asks why she’s smiling. Ji-eun says it’s nothing.

 

 

-> Bok-ja is watching Yeo-jin and Young-eun feed each other and she’s disgusted.

YE: Sweetie, I think the old maid is hurt because of us.

BJ: Young-eun, do you really love Yeo-jin?

YJ POV:She’s finally getting it.

YE: Do you have to ask? Ms Nam..No, Bok-ja unnie are you sick with envy now that you’ve lost Yeo-jin to me?

BJ: No, not sick. My heart hurts.

YE: You should’ve been good to him when you had the time. He treats me like a princess, I can’t give him back to you now.

BJ: Yes I was wrong.

At this moment, Ho-jin arrives with his lunch.

HJ: What were you wrong about?

BJ: Ho-jin, what should I do? Everyone needs someone. Young-eun just made me realize that.

To everyone’s surprise, Bok-ja proposes to Ho-jin! She’s like, “I never realized that you’re my love! Don’t reject me!” (Wahaha. Young-eun, Yeo-jin and Ho-jin were funny.)

 

 

Yeo-jin was squinting at Ho-jin while Ho-jin was forming his hands to a cross signaling he doesn’t know anything about it and it’s nothing anyways. Before leaving, Bok-ja says to Yeo-jin and Young-eun that she’s grateful to the two of them for making her realize things. She even mentions something about getting married to Ho-jin, which made Yeo-jin even madder. (lol.) When she’s gone, Yeo-jin goes to Ho-jin’s table and was like, “What’s going on here, Mr. Attorney?” Of course, Ho-jin has no idea. The scene ends with Yeo-jin choking Ho-jin. (Hahaha.)

 

 

The explanation to this is, Young-eun and Bok-ja are behind it. Young-eun told Bok-ja about Yeo-jin’s scheme so Bok-ja enlists Young-eun’s help to get back at him, in exchange for gift certificates. (Lol.)

 

 

-> When Sae-hoon and Jung-min were talking in the rooftop and Sae-hoon tells Jung-min that rich children doesn’t know how it is to struggle to reach the top. Jung-min responds that he’s making it sound bad to be born rich, because they don’t work towards anything. I loved Sae-hoon’s answer -> “Why don’t you try to be a good example?” (Mwahaha!!! Oo nga naman! Jung-min is lacking off at work kaya, lakas ng loob niyang sabihin yun ah…)

 

 

-> Jung-min are Ji-eun are walking and they notice that they’re synchronized walking. It was cute, they were even holding hands. Just then, Sae-hoon’s car passes and Ji-eun sees him and got totally distracted. She lost the right footing. Jung-min notices and goes, “That was wrong.” He doesn’t know that the reason Ji-eun stepped wrongly is because she saw Sae-hoon.

 

 

-> On their way home after seeing the movie, Jung-min and Ji-eun sees a couple kissing in public. Jung-min -> “We shouldn’t have wasted money on the movie. They’re kissing more passionately than what we saw in the movie.” (Lol.) Ji-eun was uneasy. Abruptly, Jung-min turns Ji-eun to face him and tells her, “Let’s kiss.” (I was like, “Oh no!”) Know what happened next? Ji-eun can’t seem to do it so they didn’t. Jung-min -> “What are you going to kiss me? Ji-eun, do you think I love you because you’re pretty? It’s because you can’t live without me and I can’t live without you. We’re both full of scars. We’re the only one who can heal those scars for each other. I want you so desperately. Go home.”

 

 

-> Loser Mi-ran goes to Ji-eun again, and what’s the issue? She’s still blabbering about Ji-eun’s “stealing her man” blah blah. (Duh? Sae-hoon isn’t your man anymore! Besides, Sae-hoon was Ji-eun’s man first before he became yours, so get over it! But since Mi-ran is such a loon, she doesn’t realize that and doesn’t want to accept it.) But this Ji-eun is not in the mood to listen to her, “Why do I have to listen to you call me names? And just what did you do when your man was torn?” Mi-ran has no counter-attack to that so she tells Ji-eun, “Shut your mouth!” Ji-eun responds abruptly, cutting her, “No, shut your mouth! I’m at work!” Just the, Sae-hoon arrives and pulls Mi-ran away from Ji-eun.

 

 

When Sae-hoon has taken care of Mi-ran, he comes back to Ji-eun and they talk.

SH: I have nothing to say to you but I’m sorry.

JE: You don’t have to be sorry.

SH: Is Jung-min good to you?

JE: Yes, he’s good to me.

SH: I know it’s cowardly of me to say this. I hope he can make up for the years you lived in pain with me. I’m sure he can do it. I’m sure he can make you laugh. (Aww, Sae-hoon, he’s really giving up.)

JE: I don’t like you saying this. I don’t like you looking at me like this. I don’t like you feeling sorry for what you did. And I really don’t like you making me so angry. (I really like it that they’re both teary-eyed whenever they talk about them.)

 

 

-> Loser Mi-ran told Ji-eun’s mom that something’s going on between Ji-eun and Sae-hoon so when she got home, her mom was hitting her. (I really hate her mom! Why believe MI-ran more than Ji-eun?!?!? Heck, is that the trend now? Believe someone else before your own daughter?) So Ji-eun goes to Mi-ran’s and confronts her about it. She tells Mi-ran that she can stop doing things like that because Sae-hoon and her cant happen because her deceased dad wouldn’t forgive her if she ends up with Sae-hoon again. Jung-min arrives and hears everything. (I don’t remember why he’s there though.) Ji-eun sees him while walking out of Mi-ran’s place but didn’t pay attention to him. Outisde Mi-ran’s place, Ji-eun breaks down, Jung-min rushes to her to help her. He suggests that he carry her but Ji-eun doesn’t want to. Jung-min -> “I’m the only one who can carry you.” So Ji-eun obliged. Jung-min piggybacks her while Ji-eun continues to cry. Right then, Sae-hoon arrives and sees Jung-min and Ji-eun from afar. He’s just watching them and muttering to himself, “Ji-eun, I have nothing to say but I’m sorry. I’m sorry because I love you. I’m sorry I can’t love you. I’m sorry that I had no choice but to do this. Mi ahn ha da. (I’m sorry) Be happy Ji-eun.” (Ack~~ *bawling*)

EPISODE 17

 

 

-> Yeo-jin, Bok-ja and Ho-jin are biking. Basically, Bok-ja is being too sweet on Ho-jin while treating Yeo-jin like the third wheel. They were biking, then go under a hut because it was raining.

BJ: Why did you have to follow me? It’s raining because of you! It was sunny before you came!

YJ: It’s not as if I’m devil that cause rain wherever I go.

BJ: (to Ho-jin) Look at you sweating.

YJ: That’s not sweat, that’s rain!

BJ: Now I know why they say sweaty men can be sexy.

HJ: (POV) I feel a little weird. She’ not so bad after all.

BJ: Ho-jin, are you hungry? He brought the rain. So why don’t we have a hearty breakfast?

HJ: Great! (POV) She even has a hearty appetite. I should seriously consider her.

Bok-ja and Ho-jin leave Yeo-jin alone.

YJ: What if he stabs me in the back? What if they end up dating? No!!

 

 

-> Jung-min and Ji-eun have a “house date”. (a) Jung-min types “I LOVE YOU” on Ji-eun’s work (b) Jung-min lays on Ji-eun’s  lap (c) Ji-eun feeds him with a tomato. (Is that really a tomato?) They’re supposed to be Jung-min and Ji-eun’s fun and sweet moments. (Why do I sound unexcited?)

 

 

-> Mixed rice is really yucky. I don’t even know what they put in there! Plants (Lol. I mean vegetables) and fried eggs?!??!!? As Young-jae puts it in Full House – Dog food?

 

 

-> Jung-min calls her father but he hangs up on him because he’s taking to Director Park. Chairman Seo doesn’t realize that he just tossed his phone and didn’t turn it off. Jung-min was gonna end the call when he hears Ji-eun’s name so he decided to listen. Chairman Seo and Director Park were actually talking about Ji-eun’s father’s death. He mentions that Chairman Seo has something to do with it. Jung-min hears everything and was stunned. He runs to his father’s office and confronts his father. (Sorry, but poor acting from Eric here.)

 

 

-> Jung-min was actually on the way to meet Ji-eun then. But because of what he just found, he couldn’t bear to face Ji-eun. Ji-eun keeps waiting for him, Jung-min arrives but just watches her from afar. Ji-eun is too worried so she calls him, Jung-min wouldn’t answer and just stays hidden. The rain pours and Ji-eun had no choice but to leave. Jung-min hides himself so she wouldn’t see him and he just watched Ji-eun running away.

 

EPISODE 18

 

 

-> After Chairman Seo desperately gave his permission to Jung-min and Ji-eun’s marriage, Jung-min talks to his father because he’s not happy with it. He’s feeling guilty because he felt he stole everything that’s supposed to belong to Ji-eun so he cant marry her. He pours everything out to her father and ends up disowning him. He tells her father that he’s no longer his son, his son Jung-min is dead.

 

 

-> THE JUNGMIN JIEUN BREAK UP. Jung-min waits for Ji-eun at the bus stop. Ji-eun sees him. Jung-min tells her to break up.

JE: Do you know how shocked I am right now? What’s the reason? You must have a reason to want to break up with me.

JM: I told you, I don’t like you anymore.

JE: Do you think I’m a fool? You didn’t call me for a while and then your father finally gives us his approval to marry. And now you’re saying you don’t like me anymore? How am I supposed to accept this?

JM: Don’t you get it? Now that my father gave his approval, I’ve lost interest. Let’s end it.

JE: If you’ve really stopped liking me, I have no intention of asking you to rethink your decision. But I know something’s wrong. You can’t even look me in the eyes. Tell me what happened.

JM: What more can I tell you but that I don’t like you anymore? I don’t like you anymore (looks her in the eye)

JE: So this is the kind of man that you are?

JM: Yes, this is the kind of man that I am. I’m a jerk and a coward! Didn’t you know that? Just pretend that a jerk toyed with you for a while.

JE: Jung-min…

Sae-hoon sees them talking, he was in the neighborhood because Ji-eun’s mom talked to him, to avoid Ji-eun because she’s marrying Jung-min.

JM: I hate women who are clingy. People changed their minds easily. We should never have met.

Jung-min leaves first, when Ji-eun sees him turned his back, she also leaves, Jung-min turns back again and watches her receding back

JM: (VO) I dreamed of my life with you. I was confident because you were with me. But how could I have you by my side? How could I dare love you? I’d be punished for my sins.

 

 

Meanwhile, Sae-hoon was behind him and when Jung-min faced him, *PUK!* Sae-hoon punched Jung-min, then grabs his collar.

SH: Seo Jung-min, act like a man if you’re one! Take responsibility for your words. You said you’d change for her. You have to take care of her to love her.

JM: Do you love her that much? Do you love JE that much? Then you live with her!

SH: Seo Jung-min! Don’t ignore her now. Please don’t make her cry. You’re the only man who can make her happy. (tears forming in his eyes) If I’m the problem I’ll leave. (I’m crying too. I can’t believe Sae-hoon said that.)

JM: Now that you’re begging me, I may reconsider. (Jung-min, you’re such an ass. But I know he doesn’t mean it.)

Jung-min leaves.

 

 

-> Young-eun sees Yeo-jin carrying a bag so she follows him. She asks what’s up, Yeo-jin says he’s going to ask Bok-ja for forgiveness.

YE: Look you naïve innocent boy. I’ll go with you. I’ll help you. Why are you holding that?

YJ: This? I bought it for Bok-ja’s dog. She loves her dog.

YE: What? I don’t think it’ll work though.

 

 

At Bok-ja’s dressing room, Ho-jin comes clean about his connivance with Yeo-jin to make her jealous.

HJ: You won’t press charges against me for fraud or anything.

BJ: I will. I’ll send you snacks in prison.

Meanwhile, Young-eun and Yeo-jin are listening behind the door. Ho-jin brings up Bok-ja’s “proposal” and accepts it. Bok-ja is actually in a dilemma inside and thinking hoe she’s getting out of this situation. Yeo-jin, hearing everything loses all his hope, Young-eun adds gas to the fire, “See I knew this would backfire on you. I feel so sorry for you.”
