SYNOPSIS:

15 year old high school girl Bo-eun is forced to marry her 24 year old childhood friend Sang-min due to a promise made by their grandparents.

 

FAVE SCENES: (a lot!!)

1:: when sangmin was looking at boeun’s picture, taken a few years back, the passenger was staring at him, she’s probably thinking, “what a pervert!” because he was all smiles looking at a young girl’s pic!

2:: sangmin gave boeun a padded bra for a gift and the pervert guy that he is, joked, “should I help you put it on?”

3:: sangmin’s dad was trying to catch their (sangmin and mom) attention but they wouldn’t budge because they’re so engrossed in watching TV. Their reactions were so funny when they realized what the dad was doing – destroying their car using a bat.

4:: when boeun and sangmin went to the hospital and her grandfather flat lines, but when she blurted out that she’s gonna get married na just so he’d wake up, the lines moved!

5:: during their wedding when they were biting that sausage thingy.

6:: after the wedding and they’re off to their honeymoon, sangmin’s dad was hinting not to touch boeun because she’s only 15 but sangmin was like, “she’s my wife, I’ll do as I wish.” on the other hand, sangmin’s mom was assuring boeun and her mom that nothing’s gonna happen because snagmin’s dad has talked to him, boeun was like, “what are you talking about??”

7:: when boeun was asking her mom if she could keep the bouquet because it’s very pretty. (Dude, forgive her, she’s 15! and the bouquet was really pretty!)

8:: they were off to their honeymoon when boeun told sangmin that she’s just gonna go pee so sangmin went ahead. But boeun didn’t get on the airplane ever so sangmin flew alone to jeju (the stewardess wouldn’t let him out since the plane’s already flying). boeun didn’t want to go because her class was having a trip to jeju on the same day.

9:: honeymoon from hell! So sangmin went alone and he encountered this annoying couple. First on the plane, the lady teased him about his wanting to get off the plane and use his cellphone when the planes already set off. Second, the couple took his cab at the airport. Last, they were PDAing outside their room which was a floor down to sangmin’s room. So he finally gets his revenge by getting a pail of water from the toilet and splashing it to the couple. harhar! His face was sooooo funny when he succeeded!

10:: when sangmin landed on top of boeun’s bestfriend hyewon when they bumped into each other in jeju. then terror old maid miss kim comes man handling him and calling him a pervert.

11:: at a sauna where boeun spent time (she couldn’t go home because her and sangmin’s parents would scold them if they find out they weren’t together on their honeymoon), she heard her mom talking about missing her now that she’s married. She shouldn’t let herself be sen so she slides away butt in the air. Her mom sees her lop-sided butt and says, “Everyone looks like boeun, even that one…” (when it’s actually boeun! hehe.)

12:: sangmin was on his way back to seoul and inside the plane, he’s sandwiched between to fat guys, he couldn’t even reach for candies!!! (poor sangmin…)

13:: when he arrived, he also saw boeun in front of their parents’ house. He wanted to strangle her but caught her instead and had her change into her hanbok before meeting the parents.

14:: after dinner, drunk sangmin carries her bride and when they got inside their room, he falls on top of her and she couldn’t get out. (so cute!)

15:: omg!! This is so darn funny! In their new apartment, sangmin goes to boeun’s room and jokes about his sleeping naked. Boeun was like, “this isn’t your room! Get out!” then sangmin tells her that they sleep together. Scared boeun crosses her arms in front of her. (cute!) sangmin gets near her and attempts to hug her, boeun snatches her pencil and threatens to attack him with that if ever he comes closer. Then they land on the bed, sangmin on top of her. Boeun was freaking out that she stuck the pencil on sangmin’s head! sangmin has no reaction at first but when he saw blood rushing from the top of his head, he was like, “shit! I was just playing with you!” his reaction was hecka funny! priceless!!!

16:: the following morning, with a plaster on his head, he did his morning exercise imitating some mascots from a kid’s show. (so childish! basta he was so funny while dancing) then boeun gets out of the room and he was so shocked because he’s embarrassed seeing him like that. hehe.

17:: boeun was gonna cook something so they went to a grocery. Boeun was riding the cart commanding what to get while sangmin pushes and gets the ingredients. At one point, sangmin pushed too hard that the cart didn’t stop and crashed into a pile of boxes. Boeun hurt her leg so sangmin had to piggyback her on their way home. When he fixed her position, he accidentally touched her butt and boeun said, “hey, get your hands off there!”. Sangmin was like, “I didn’t do it on purpose, my hands just went there naturally…” (owsss…) and then he started teasing her about her lop-sided butt… (it was cute…)

18:: back at home, boeun was cooking the spaghetti when sangmin started bothering her again so they had a food fight. When the spaghetti was ready, they ate it very barubal. After eating, they used rock, paper, scissors to decide who’s gonna wash the dishes. Boeun lost so she did them.

19:: to get back at him, she pulled down his pants when he was standing with his back facing her, she yells, “gotcha!”. But it fired back, sangmin faced her. (wahaha!!!) boeun was like, “don’t come near! Don’t come near!!” but sangmin teased her more and said, “im really gonna take it all off.” Boeun ran.

20:: ahhh. This is so heartbreaking for sangmin. He was watching TV and eating sushi which boeun made. He switched to a baseball game where boeun’s high school was playing. (meaning, boeun’s boyfriend slash cute baseball player jungwoo was playing) then he sees boeun on the screen cheering while the commentator says that there’s a cute girl cheering for a player and they even shared a sushi lunch earlier. Sangmin realized that the sushi weren’t really for him but for jungwoo. He then goes to boeun’s room and there he found neoprints of boeun and jungwoo together.

21:: when sangmin was posing for his friends and then senior jisoo suddenly walks in, he covers himself with a blanket because he’s so shy. Hehe.

22:: haha. Miss kim’s tactics! She develops a crush on sangmin and on a sort of welcome party for him by the teachers, miss kim makes her move. She gives sangmin lots to drink and even flirts with him. There was one point when she disappears from her seat in front of sangmin, only to suddenly reappear beside sangmin! Sangmin was hella shocked!

23:: oopss…another funny one. One morning, boeun was using the bathroom to prepare for school when sangmin needed to pee. He asked her if he could be beside her, she could just turn her back. But boeun shuts the door to his face. But he couldn’t control it anymore. When boeun got out of the bathroom, sangmin was peeing in the sink. (bastos na bata!)

24:: they were in a hurry to leave the house so sangmin just took something off the sampayan (darn, I dunno what it’s called in English, sorry). He was aiming for a hanky. In school, while he was teaching boeun’s class, he’s sweaty because he’s not feeling well, he took out the “hanky” from his pocket and rubbed it on his face. Boeun saw that the “hanky” is actually her undies!!! So she tried hard to catch his attention and let him know before the entire class sees it!

25:: when sangmin met jungwoo. He was like, “was the sWoohoohoo, jealous!! While jungwoo was clueless…

26:: when they were fighting about the remote because boeun couldn’t concentrate in her studies when sangmin is watching

27:: when boeun saved sangmin from the marines who were bullying him, she proudly said that she’s his wife.

28:: when they went to a karaoke place with sangmin’s 2 friends!!

29:: on their way home, sangmin was putting his arms around boeun but she’s preventing him. then 2 hoodlums corner them and beats sangmin up that they end up in jail. The police officer wouldn’t believe that they’re married. Principal helped them but he came with miss kim so she found out about them. At home, boeun scolded him for letting others bully him. it was so cute. She’s like the mature one, she was like, “what will I do to you? Why do you let others bully you? How are you gonna survive in the real world? (and then sangmin stops rolling the tomato in his face) keep rolling! How will you face your students tomorrow at school?” hehe.

30:: when boeun was examining the huuuuge wall she had to paint by miss kim’s order. Pinag-initan siya ni old maid after finding out about her connection with sangmin.

31:: waah!! This is so cute!! The pictures tell it all!! Too bad the kiss only happened in sangmin’s dream

32:: the ending: boeun realized she’s in love with sangmin and she broke up with jungwoo. Poor cute baseball player, akin ka na lang.

sangmin: “I cant be married at this age!”

 

mom: “when she was little, she would fall and break things, but she seemed to hold herself well at the wedding.”

dad: “why, are you worried that she didn’t fall?”

mom: “yes, a little.”

 

sang min: “at least you could’ve fixed something for my hangover.”

boeun: “you deserve it! Besides, I’m still in high school.”

sangmin: “you always use that line when you’re cornered. High school is not a crown you know.”

boeun: “it is too, so there! Okay then I’ll show you my cooking skills tonight.”

 

hyewon: “I envy you. You’ve got a husband and a boyfriend.”

 

sangmin: “your teacher drink like fishes, I couldn’t keep up!”

 

hyewon: “I must be a lesbian. I like my friend better than a boy.”

 

sangmin: “…she loves sushi-loving attractive baseball players…” (harhar!)

 

MY 2 CENTS:

I was laughing my butt off ever second off it! There were many times I had to pause just so I can laugh. I had to pause because I might miss anything funny. Oh and once or twice I paused because I had to bury my head to a pillow and yell because that darn hot baseball guy is just soooo…hot. There really were tons of funny scenes!!! My dad who was watching with me since the beginning of disc 2 was laughing too. He even said that KRW resembles Mark Anthony Fernandez, which shocked me because I remember reading someone mentioned that on his thread (in tsinoy forum) before.

 

I so swear, the baseball player is really hot!! I’ve been crushing on him ever since I saw this movie on screen flash but I didn’t really paid much attention to him since I haven’t seen the movie. But now, you’re dead, I’m gonna hunt you down! What the frock is this guy’s name? I mean the actor. Someone’s asking for his profile on soompi but no one has answered yet. I’d thank anyone who’d answer from the bottom of my heart if someone. He and bo-eun looked so cute that I wanted them to end up together. bo-eun is one heck of a cheating wife! She got herself a boyfriend on the day when she’s supposed to be in Jeju Island, on a honeymoon with her husband! Plus, she was on a date with him when she’s supposed to be at the monthly family dinner! Their just really cute, their relationship is so innocent. loved it when he held her hand and asked her if she’s dating anyone (then she says no) and tells her from now on, they’re dating…he arrives at the practice late and he was punished…when he told the bullies off, he told them that it’s true, he and bo-eun are dating…when he told her that she’s the real princess…when he helped her wash the mops…when they were at the record store listening to some music and he whispers to her…when bo-eun was feeding him…dude, I even like him more than KRW in this movie!

 

Crappy ending but what the hell, I enjoyed the whole film! I just pity cute baseball guy because bo-eun broke up with him just like that after she realized she’s in love with sang-min. dude, he didn’t even asked why she broke up with him! (Well he found out when everyone else found out...)

 

As usual, KRW was hilarious. I’ve always loved his facial expressions and dialogues just like in attic cat. It broke my heart when he saw bo-eun on TV cheering for Jung-woo, (I still prefer calling him cute baseball guy) and finds out that bo-eun made the sushi for jung-woo, not for him and then when he saw the pictures of them together. Ouch. My heartstrings tugged when he painted a boy pushing a girl sitting on a swing on the wall. Ack~ MGY is funny as well, I love her. She’s a good actress. Her facial expressions are funny too. She also cries easily, her eyes and nose gets red in no time! This girl’s talented! Dude, wasn’t she even hurt a bit when she fell from their apartment building? It’s funny when it appears like she’s the mature one between the two of them like when she saved him from the marines and then the bullies and she was telling him how he will survive in the real world...to continue rolling the tomato on his face to minimize the swelling. Harhar. Oh and Miss Kim was hecka funny too! Old maid syndrome!

 

Why were these scenes not included? Bummer!

NOTES:

I didn’t learn anything new about Korea by watching this movie but it added a new hottie in my list – the hot baseball player!!! He’s so darn cute! I just hope he’s older than me, I don’t want another crush younger than me! The entire crew of dong bang shin gi is enough. I don’t want another dongseng!
