EPISODE 10
-> KJ introduces TY to his father.
KJ: (to TY) I’ll introduce you to my father. (to his father) Meet her.
Pres. Han: Why should I?
KJ: Please, I like this woman. I like her. I never believed but I realized that I like her. I’ll protect her.
But SH was actually to meet his grandfather so he heard everything too. when KJ and TY went out of Pres. Han’s office, they saw SH and we’re concerned but SH said that they need not explain because he heard everything, he just have one request to KJ, “Take care of her, she’s about to fall down.” (gawd, nasasabi niya pa yan.)
-> this time, it’s KJ who’s talking to Ki-hye about TY.
KH: what kind of girl is she?
KJ: Well, she’s a girl that looks pretty to me.
Ki-hye remembers his talk with SH where the latter said the same thing about the girl he likes.
KH: Soo-hyuk said the same thing. You two resemble a lot.
KJ: We’re attracted to the same type of woman. (duh, you two are attracted to the same woman!)
-> Yang-mi and Keon are exercising.
YM: this summer, I’ll wear those darn bikinis.
Keon: Please think of others. (lolz.)
YM: That’s why I’m exercising. Why are you always sarcastic? You little brat.
-> KJ goes to TY’s house bringing a fan.
TY: what is this, a fan?
KJ: I wanted to buy a bathroom, but I didn’t know where to get it so..instead of flowers, you know. (hehe. Remember: he doesn’t like flowers.)
TY: You could have gotten a refrigerator as well. I gave you clues about not having ice. (when he slept at TY’s house before, everything in her house is broken – fan, bathroom door, lights…)
KJ: Really? Let’s go get one. Do you need anything else?
TY: What? No I was kidding.
KJ: So was I.
When KJ told TY that he’ll go to her house, he asked her to cooks rice cake because he hasn’t had that kind of dish before.
KJ: What is this?
TY: Rice cake, you asked me for it.
KJ: Can I eat it?
TY: How is it?
KJ: Good, but spicy.
TY: This is supposed to be spicy. I like spicy food. (yup, I heard rice cakes are spicy, but I still don’t get it, it’s called spicy rice cake but it doesn’t look like a cake! Lolz.)
KJ: I don’t like it.
TY: What about sweets?
KJ: That’s worse. I hate spicy or sweet stuff.
TY: Then I’ll have the rest. This is spicy and sweet. Why are you eating what you hate so much?
KJ: Don’t treat your guest like this. I like this, ok? Very delicious. (hehe. Why do I remember Sandara Park here?)
KJ and TY talk about their “relationship”.
TY: I thought about what you said yesterday. I decided to forget about it.
KJ: How do you do that? How can you forget what you already heard?
TY: Didn’t you have trouble the last time you slept here? With a broken toilet and a buttonless fan, a door without a knob. I’m sure you’ve never seen that.
KJ: No, I haven’t. So? Do I have to use broken things to like someone? Just trust me. I’m not good at making women happy. So just trust me. And I’ll be coming to see you more often from now on. Don’t say “oh my god” every time I come to see you. (haha.)
-> SH and TY have a drink again and he returns her brush to her.
SH: Don’t leave things anywhere.
TY: How did you get this? Were you following me that day? Soo-hyuk, you’re a good friend.
SH: I don’t want friends.
TY: Let’s stay friends. You told me you had no friends. I won’t make you lonely.
SH: I started to get lonely since last night. Let’s not be sarcastic. I know where your heart is, but don’t go any further. Take your time, it wouldn’t hurt and then decide who’s the right one for you. I hope it’s me that you choose. You’re lucky you know, uncle and I are both great guys.
-> KJ and SH have a drink as well and talk about TY.
SH: Uncle, I’m asking you as a man, do you really like TY?
KJ: Don’t you already know?
SH: Since I know what you feel, I’ll tell you how I feel. Do you know I told her how I feel? (okay, darn, this giving me a headache..puro feel!)
KJ: Did you?
SH: In a very romantic way but I was kind of rejected.
KJ: Really? So was I.
SH: Did you? Why is she being so tough? She’s not even pretty. (lolz.)
KJ: I know, she’s ugly and too loud.
SH: And never remembers a thing.
KJ: She lies too.
SH: Her head is very big.
KJ: Her nostrils too. (with matching demonstration)Do you think you can compete with me?
SH: Why not. You’re richer than me but I’m better looking. And you hardly dated a girl, don’t know what women like, but I know women.
KJ: I know but are you sure? Can you compete with me as a man?
SH: No taking back.
KJ: I never do.
-> TY is training as a staff at the CSV theater (this theater is own by Baek Seung-kyung, KJ’s ex-wife). Suddenly, one guy comes in front and started asking questions about the movie “On the Waterfront”. TY wants to raise her hand because she knows that movie, no one else knows aside form her and the guy in front. The guy started blabbing infos about the movie that it stars Marlon Brando and won best film in the 28th Academy Awards. TY raises her hand to correct the guy saying “isn’t it the 27th?” the guy goes “aren’t you listening? I said 27th. My point is…it’s my regret to tell you that Marlon Brando has passed away.” (lolz.) A girl then comes in telling the guy to sit down, turns out, the guy is also a staff not their trainor. (haha.)
-> KJ leaves instructions to Seung-joon like, “cancel my meeting. Leave my 1-3pm schedule free…” and the last one: “oh and put two guards in front of my office and keep yoon-ah from breaking in.” (lolz.)
-> KJ goes to TY’s workplace and literally snatches her so they could go on a date.
TY: What are you doing?
KJ: We’re going out starting today. I’m new to do this but I’ll do my best.
TY: Do your best? This is not an exam. Just do what your heart says. (wahaha, this is not an exam…)
KJ: I’ll still do my best
First, they go shopping, but KJ wouldn’t let go of her hand.
TY: You don’t have to hold hands.
KJ: But I want to, this is what everyone else does. This is what couples do.
TY: I know but my hand is sweating.
KJ: It does, then wipe it off. Okay?
*the entire “date” they were holding hands, I so swear! It’s funny.
Then they went to go buy a piggy bank because TY once told him to save his coins. They were about to pay for it when KJ couldn’t reach his wallet because his one hand is holding TY’s hand. TY volunteered to just get it from his pocket, then get money from the wallet to pay for the piggy bank. (they look really funny here!) no matter what, KJ wouldn’t let go of TY’s hand.
KJ tells TY that she shouldn’t make him cry because he cries in an embarrassing way.
KJ: So don’t ever make me cry ok?
TY: I never will.
KJ: Really?
TY: By the way, why are you talking to me causally?
KJ: Do you have a problem with that? You’re 7 years younger than me, you’re a little girl, honey. (that honey again!)
TY: I’m not your honey.
KJ: (shouts) Honey, where are you going?
TY: (walks away) Don’t.
KJ: (shouts even louder) Wait for me, honey. I’ll buy you ice cream. Honey!
They’re eating ice cream, still holding hands. (lolz.)
TY: Can you let go of my hand?
KJ: No. stop whining.
TY: By the way, I met SH yesterday.
KJ: I know. He said he’s my rival. He said that he’s better-looking than me.
TY: Well he is better looking.
KJ: I told him I have more money.
TY: Well I prefer better looking. (me too! kasali ba ko sa usapan?)
KJ: Don’t you have a mirror? We both agreed that you’re ugly.
TY: Why are you always saying that? (snatches her hand away)
KJ: Should I lie and say that you’re pretty then? (snatches back her hand, holding it even tighter this time)
TY: Why are you holding my ugly hand? (so cute.)
EPISODE 11
-> KJ brings TY home and just then, SH arrives to pick TY up because he needs to talk to her. TY made an excuse to KJ that she asked SH to come because they need to talk.
SH: Why are you making an excuse? You don’t need to.
TY: Then what should I do?
SH: Just like you always did. No surprises, no excuses. Just like you always did. (takes out mp3 player from pocket, I’m wondering, is that yepp? Hehe. TVXQ endorsement!) Do you know why I’m always carrying this? It’s because I have to wait for someone. Do you remember how many songs were stored in this? 20 songs but now there are 40. Because I need to wait longer. 4 minutes for 1 song. 40 for 10. 160 for 40. I listen to this for a few times and I can spend the whole day. (ahh…sad.)
TY: I’m sorry.
SH: About what?
TY: For making you lose your smile. You weren’t like this before. You were always smiling but now you’re not anymore. I think I made you this way. I’m sorry. Soo-hyuk, wait. (she goes to the bathroom and when she came back, soo-hyuk’s gone, leaving the mp3 player on the table.)
-> at the theater where TY works, Yoon-ah arrives, TY says, “do you have a GPS planted on me? You’re so good at finding me.” (lolz.)
-> TY and Yang-mi are about to clean the theater when they saw SH, he just finished watching a movie.
SH: Anything I can do?
TY and Yang-mi talk at the same time.
TY: No.
YM: Yes.
Yang mi then snaps a pic of soo-hyuk through her phone (wais!)
-> TY and SH talk…
TY: I read this in a book. Do you know hope torture?
SH: What is it?
TY: The best thing one can do for someone who loves her is, of course, loving him, loving each other, right? But if she doesn’t love him, she shouldn’t leave any hope for him. Because even the smallest hope can be a tremendous torture to him. That’s why it’s called hope torture. Isn’t that so weird. It just came to my head. (that’s true though…)
-> KJ sends a message to TY’s cellphone. This is not normal because he usually just calls, no messaging! So they were chatting when TY receives this message – “let’s met.”
TY: Met? (wahaha..KJ couldn’t type properly!!!)
KJ asks Seung-joon if he has coins, SJ gives him some but he’s like, “do you have some more?” SJ keeps looking, “I don’t think I don’t have more.” Ang kulit ni KJ! “C’mon, keep looking.” (he’s actually cute here.)
So he goes to meet TY and brings her to look at what’s inside the trunk of his car. He brings out a bag of coins, “For piggie. Don’t make our piggie hungry.”
-> when SH was reminiscing he and his uncle playing hockey. KJ beat SH no matter how hard SH tried. He says, “Someday, I’ll beat you.” (gosh, love the song playing in this scene…) This where they take their picture together, the one on KJ’s office desk.
-> KJ and TY are chatting on their phones. KJ keeps on sending short messages (because he’s not to good. Lolz.) TY asked him what he had for lunch. He was to say sandwich but keeps on typing “sadwich” so he just called.
TY: You’re not supposed to call, this is foul.
KJ: I kept writing sandwich “sadwich”. How do you type those bugs?
TY: They’re smileys. You need practice. Stop calling me honey, bye.
Yang-mi arrives…
YM: Human beings are all the same, even rich guys can be so childish. (korek!)
-> Yang-mi is a little blue so TY decides to make her over.
TY: wow, pink looks good on you.
YM: It’s just because of the make up. (looks at the mirror) Wow, pretty! (turning serious) Hey, when will you let him go? (talking about soo-hyuk) He may not be right the person for you but he could mean the life to someone. (korek ka jan, yang-mi!) I think you should let him go. I’m sorry. Was kidding.
TY: But what if I hurt him? I can’t do that. (duh? You already are!)
-> KJ sees Yoon-ah in a party where she shouldn’t be present.
KJ: Am I drunk?
Seung-joon: You only had two cocktails.
KJ: Then why am I seeing yoon-ah? (lolz.)
Yoon-ah has a plan again so she invites TY to the party too. She plans on embarrassing her. Plus, she also invited SH. Jung-hak starts hitting on tae-young. (note: JUNG-HAK IS GWAPO!!!)
KJ: Get your hands off.
Jung-hak: What?
KJ: I said take your hands off.
JH: Why don’t you take care of your fiancée? (talking about yoon-ah)
Ki-joo punches him.
KJ: Didn’t I tell you? Take your hands off my woman!
KJ takes TY away. Meanwhile, SH arrives at the party.
(Gawd, I love this part,) KJ and TY fight about what just happened.
KJ: Why were you just standing there? Are you dumb? Why can’t you talk? Why didn’t you tell him to get his hands off? Can’t you talk? Can’t you scream? Can’t you tell him?
TY: I would have if I could but he’s your friend.
KJ: What friend? He’s not my friend.
TY: I couldn’t say it because of you.
KJ: For me? Why not for you? Why for me? ‘He is my man.’ ‘He is my boyfriend.’ Why can’t you say it? (now they’re screaming at each other)
TY: How can I say that looking like this? How would I among those people. What would they think of you? I can’t embarrass you for my little pride. How would I? (Note: Kim Jung-eun is really a good actress.)
then this happened…man that kiss was long! While watching, I was like, “can you guys even breathe?
EPISODE 12
Remember Soo-hyuk? Yup he saw the kiss. (ouch!)
And so did Yoon-ah… (for all I care…dapat nga matauhan ka na eh!)
SH and YA met in the hallway...
YA: Did you see that?
SH: What?
YA: Did you see that?
SH: Who?
YA: Are you sure?
SH: Did I miss something? If you’re finished, excuse me. (ouch ouch ouch. He’s in denial.)
-> (This scene made me cry…in Korean dramas, there is usually a shower scene when the guy is depressed or thinking about something. In LIP, it’s LDG.) SH goes home and drowns himself in the shower. (ok, that was an OA description.) He looks at himself at the mirror and punches it, his fist bled. When ki-joo arrived and asked what happened to his hand..
SH: Something broke.
KJ: Why weren’t you careful?
SH: I tried to be.
KJ: Does it hurt?
SH: Are you kidding me? Of course. How would it not hurt? (he’s speaking figuratively.)
-> (another cry cry scene for me, it happened right after he hurt his hand in the shower) SH invited KJ for a hockey match even though he hurt his hand. KJ is really concerned about his hand but SH doesn’t want to stop. In the end, they tied. (I must admit, they play pretty good. You can’t fake some scenes.)
SH: We tied.
KJ: You’ve improved.
SH: I wanted to beat you.
KJ: Soo-hyuk.
SH: Uncle I’ll say first. I like tae-young. Much more than you think. I gave so many things for you in my life, but I don’t want to give up tae-young. I want you to let her go. You have everything, my mother and your company. You don’t have to ask for anything. You don’t know what pain is, what waiting is. You don’t know any if that, but I do. You can never be a good man. Your life is too busy. Tae-young will feel lonely. But I only got tae-young in my life. I love her. Please, uncle.
KJ: I’m sorry.
SH: Uncle.
KJ: I’m sorry soo-hyuk. Like you said, I have a lot, but only outside. If I had to choose just one thing, I’d choose tae-young. I’d have Tae-young.
SH: Over me?
KJ: Over you. (aww Soo-hyuk!!!)
-> TY sees a movie poster where the actors are about to kiss. She remembers her kiss with KJ. Yang-mi arrives and TY covers the poster.
YM: why are you so blushed? What were you looking at?
TY: Just do what you’re doing.
YM: Move. (shoving tae-young away fro the wall) what? Already? He kissed? You? Good for you. Was he a good kisser?
TY: Well I’m not sure.
YM: How many times?
TY: Once but long.
YM: You go girl. I’m so proud of you! (So funny! I like Yang-mi too.)
-> TY gets a call from Pres. Han’s secretary saying that he wants to meet with TY.
Yang-mi: What if he offers money and tries to get you off KJ?
