-> KJ is feeling bad because of the negative things that are happening to his company. It’s time for TY to return the favor back so she sings for him too. it’s so cute because the song is slow at first then it becomes rockish in the middle. So cute! (I wonder if it’s really KJE’s voice) she even has a toy guitar! Cute cute cute!

-> KJ brings TY home and he jokes about her singing.

KJ: I liked your song. Is that all you could sing?

TY: But you had the biggest smile, Mr. Han.

KJ: when are you gonna stop calling me Mr. Han?

TY: What should I call you then?

KJ: Well you should call me Darling.

TY: What? No way…okay then… Darling.

KJ: Stop it.

TY: Hey you told me to do so. Ill do it. Darling, darling.

KJ: It’s scary, don’t. (lolz.)

-> TY finds SH at her home when she arrived. SH just wants TY to smile, just once and he’ll stop whatever his going to do to ruin KJ.

SH: do you know what’s in this CD?

TY: I don’t care. Just leave, I suffer when I see you. (THERE YOU GO AGAIN!! JUST MOMENTS AGO YOU WERE ALL GIDDY WITH KI-JOO WHILE SOO-HYUK IS SAD ALL DAY! AISH! DAMN, HATE.HER.)

SH: So do I. I wish some would stop me, I wish it was you. Please. Can you stop me?

TY: I don’t know what you’re saying. I don’t want to know so just leave.

SH: I have a promise I didn’t want to keep but I think ill have to keep it.

Obviously, she didn’t smile. (ouch.)

SH…driving…

“Why didn’t you smile for once? If you did, if you did.”

EPISODE 18

-> TY finds out that SH did it. he was the one who sold out to their rival company.

TY: you did it right?

SH: Yes.

TY: Why?

SH: I told you.

TY: Are you the only one suffering? How about ki-joo? (PURO KA KI-JOO!)

SH: It’s too late, tell him if you want. I have no regrets.

TY: Don’t lie.

SH: So what if I do? Does anything change? If I regret it and stop here, are you going to come to me?

TY: No.

SH: Then why do I have to stop? I asked you to stop me and look at me but you just ignored me. Does it hurt you now because uncle is hurting?

TY: Yes it does. But it’s hurting me too so please stop.

SH: If you continue to stay by his side I’m not stopping. I can’t stop myself so come back to me. I wasn’t lying when I told you I’d break uncle and get you.

TY: You are scaring me.

KJ actually heard their conversation too.

-> TY prepared a special night for her and KJ, she even wore the dress she wore at one of the dinners in Paris. She said something about the wine, candles, food, etc…

TY: But something was missing.

KJ: What?

TY: You, Mr. Han.

While dancing…

TY: did I tell you this?

KJ: What?

TY:  I love you.

-> love this scene because LDG is so galing here. It’s too much of a giveaway so I didn’t include the subtitle. You’ll know when you reach this part of the series. Super cry ako sa scene na to.

EPISODE 19

-> when TY was watching their engagement party video…they broke up here na kaya it’s so sad…

-> SH got into a car accident because he was reaching for the MP3 player. He recorded something in there, the nurse gave it to TY. She listened to it. “TY, I really wanted to tell you something. I wanted to tell you directly. All I needed was a moment. But you didn’t give me the chance. I didn’t know I was hurting you because I was hurt myself. I’m sorry. Please be happy. I wanted to say this to you, if I could I want to forget everything and I wish you could forget all your bad memories about me. *cry cry*

-> loved this scene of Ki-hye and director Choi because it told their story. It’s really interesting.

-> when the stockholders and directors are about to kick KJ out of her position, Dir. Choi, being the largest stockholder, stands up for him. KJ was surprised he did this so he asked him why.

KJ: wasn’t it your goal to take me down and take over this company? Why are you stopping now?

DC: I realized that I’ve become too old. It’s too late for me to be ambitious. Come to think of it, this company wasn’t what I wanted, it was a woman. (Ki-hye)

-> SH actually knows everything, he says goodbye. “Goodbye…tae-young…uncle…now can you forgive me? Be happy, uncle. I mean, hyung (brother). Hyung. I don’t know when I can call you like this. Tae-young ah…I love you.”

EPISODE 20

* no more screencaps! Don’t wanna spoil too much! Actually, since ep 18, im not really describing in detail na kase andun na yung revelations. Get a clue from these lines.

“You are here. Your secretary has a big mouth.” – Tae-young

“Can I say something silly? I’m letting you go because I love you.” – Ki-joo

“This is what she would say. Aja!” – Seung-joon

ok ok..just one…what does this scene mean?

-> aside from Lee Dong-gun, I also liked this guy, he plays PARK JUNG-HAK, Ki-joo’s business rival, he’s so gwapo! He reminds me of Jang Dong-gun. I wonder what his name is…

THE VERDICT:

Obviously, I loved this series. I love romantic-comedies so watching this was really worthwhile. I was laughing already from the very first scene. And of course towards the middle, when it reaches it climax, it turns very dramatic that you’ll surely need a box of Kleenex to wipe your tears. There’s a twist in this series, so watch out for that. So far, this series has the best dialogues ever! The writers are great! That’s why I even quoted the conversations because they should be. Mostly, the reason why I laughed and cried were the dialogues. This series is now being telecast here in the Philippines but I really didn’t like how they translated the dialogues. Watching it on local TV is less funny for me. one aspect that I really take notice of when watching a series are kissing scenes, I so hate corny kisses! I must say, PSY and KJE’s kissing scenes (just 2 by the way, one in ep 11 and another in ep 19) isn’t. Their first kiss was unexpected (they were fighting and then Ki-joo suddenly kissed Tae-young, that was hot!) but long (I was like, “can you guys even breathe?”). The second was cute too because Tae-young said “I love you” to Ki-joo before they kissed. It was very romantic. Some series deteriorate towards the end but this series isn’t one of them. It will make you hang on until the very end. Lovers in Paris has a very unique ending too. When I was halfway watching the series, I cheated, I watched episode 20 but I really didn’t get it. I didn’t understand. I continued watching and when I reached the ending, I got it. but what’s good about it is, people have different interpretations of the ending. It’s open-ended. So don’t worry if you and your friends have different views on the ending, don’t kill each other because of it. lol.

All 3 actors did a great job. I loved Lee Dong-gun! I so dig him in Sweet 18, but I loved him more here! So far, Soo-hyuk is my favorite “other guy” in Asian series. He looks so good with facial hair and even better shaven, I liked his hairstyle after he “changed”. Also her clothes, (just like KJE) he looks good with those tattered shirts! He looked hot! His wardrobe when he started working at his family’s company was funky. Not a normal executive would wear.  Very untraditional. What else? Oh, of course, Yang-mi pointed it out – HIS SMILE!! He’s my favorite “other guy” because his character is very realistic to me. I love it that he’s stubborn, selfish and possessive. He’s in love! Sometimes I’d even hate both Tae-young and Ki-joo because they make Soo-hyuk suffer too much. I’m so mad at Tae-young towards the end whenever she’d say that she’s hurting and suffering, duh? Soo-hyuk suffers a lot more than she does! See, there I go again. I really pity him, I cried at most of his scenes and I loved his dialogues, they really pierced my heart. He’s in love but he can’t be loved back so he’d rather fake an amnesia just to forget everything, at least make others believe that he forgot everything. Ahhh!!! Bottomline: I love him! I can’t explain clearly! I think LDG hit the jackpot with this role. It showed his dramatic abilities well. The lead actress, Kim Jung-eun really made the funny scenes more hilarious. Love her facial expressions. She can do whatever – comedy or drama, she can shift from one expression to another. She’s the type who knows how to control her tears. I liked her clothes too. Very colorful. I liked her acting. Her scenes with Lee Dong-gun mostly were my favorites, they seem to be very comfortable with each other. I’m not really into Park Shin-yang, so I can’t say much about him. Seung-kyung, looks like Phoemela Baranda (FYI: she’s a model in the Philippines). She’s very pretty, I even thought once that she’ll look good with Soo-hyuk. (hehe.) while Yoon-ah looks like Sheree (FYI: she’s a sexy actress in the PHils.) naman. I also find Ki-hye very pretty even though she’s old. I bet she’s even lovelier when she was younger.
