Actually I’m supposed to do PRIDE first but I’m so obsessed with this series that I wanted to do it before the jap series. hehe. I might forget my insights if I’m not gonna do it now. And besides, I erased some of the Pride pics after uploading them on photobucket, I haven’t written captions on the pictures yet and I erased them already so I dunno what to write anymore, I will have to retrieve them from photobucket again. (why do I always write run on sentences?) Speaking of photobucket, I’m so over my limit! It’s so funny my first account, the super old one, I think it’s a year old already, it was like 120+ mb when photobucket’s capacity for free accounts is just 25mb. Wehehe. Whatever, even before they started limiting free accounts to 25 mb, that one was so over 25mb anyways. Then there’s my 2nd account, I opened it just recently when I couldn’t access to my first one anymore, I found yesterday that it’s over 25mb as well. I was trying to create another free account but then they’re not offering it anymore? Only premium? So I went to look for another image hosting and I found imagestation! I dunno if it has limits etc but what’s important to me right that moment is just to upload my pictures. I’ll read about their offers later. lol. It’s kinda like yahoo photos in terms of the interface. But I can’t seem to post my pics from there. So I settled with villagephotos…So anyways, too much for introduction which so has nothing to do with FIREBIRD.

-> A smart student but poor and has no parents, he supports himself by working part-time at a gas station. Then he meets Ji-eun, they fall in love and get married but with opposition from her parents and being not used to leading a poor life, Ji-eun leaves him. Divorced and with a broken heart, he flies to New York. 10 years later, he comes back to Korea, now the successful businessman Will Jang, he has a fiancée Mi-ran who coincidentally is Ji-eun’s friend from Boston.
Lee Ji-eun <- Lee Eun-joo
-> A rich spoiled immature girl who has a textile company CEO for a dad and an equally immature and luxurious mom. Then she meets Sae-hoon, she falls hard that she wants to be with him even if it means leaving her family behind for him. But her marriage life fails and ends up leaving him. When she finds out Sae-hoon’s leaving for New York, she hurries to the airport and with her dad following her, he dies in a car accident. 10 years later, she’s not the immature kid anymore, she becomes the breadwinner of her family. She meets Jung-min and as fate brings her and Sae-hoon reunited, this time as client and helper.

EPISODE 1
-> Ji-eun was driving her red convertible, she throws her shoes at the back of her car so she didn’t recognize the red light initially, so when she stepped on the brake, it was too late, her car landed on the pedestrian lane. (lol.) She hides her face because of the embarrassment form the people crossing.
-> Their first meeting: Ji-eun is really a bad driver, she did a turn late so she lost her sense of direction, she stepped on the brake late again thus making her crash into the office of her friend’s gas station, where Sae-hoon works as a part-time worker. She almost killed him but her first concern was her precious car. Sae-hoon was like, “shouldn’t you be asking me if I’m alright?” but Ji-eun goes, “you’re not dead!” Sae-hoon got irritated because of her behavior so he slapped him. Ji-eun threw a fit because no one has ever done that to her. (Such a spoiled kid!)
-> Not without a fight: Because she’s so mad and being the immature girl that she is, she steals Sae-hoon’s bag before she left the gas station. At her house, Ji-eun’s talking to her turtle (the turtle was cute! I dunno why a turtle though…)
JE: Hey turtle, I’m never going to return that bag without a fight.
Meanwhile at the gas station, Sae-hoon and Ho-jin (he’s a law student, the son of the owner of the gas station, a friend of Ji-eun’s too) are looking for Sae-hoon’s bag. They knew that Ji-eun stole it but she won’t admit.
HJ: I don’t think we can get it back from her without a fight. (lol. They’re thinking about the same thing.)
-> Before Sae-hoon went home, Ho-jin told him he’ll drop him off so that he could give respects to his parents also but Sae-hoon declined. We find out when he get home that he actually has no parents. His parents died in an accident when he was still a kid, he’s been supporting himself to live each day and goes to college through scholarships.
-> Ji-eun meets with her friends and hears that one of her friends are getting married. She’s in the ladies’ room when she hears 2 of her friends gossiping about her. one friend is saying that Ji-eun maybe lying about having a boyfriend because she’s envious that she’s marrying Minwoo, a guy who was close to Ji-eun before. All the while, Ji-eun’s listening to their talk. When she couldn’t take it anymore, she came out of the cubicle and was like, “Yah!” confronting the two girls. She said that she won’t go to the engagement party but the friend who’s getting married was like, “are you afraid we’ll find out you’re lying about having a boyfriend? You have to go and if we prove you’re lying, you’ll be my bridesmaid.” JE: “And what? Attend to your needs?” of course, she doesn’t want that. So she makes a bet. “If I go to your engagement party with my boyfriend…you’ll give me that necklace.” The girl getting married agrees. (oh btw, this girl, according to Ji-eun has had many surgeries. Lol.) Ji-eun turns to leave when…
JE: Oh yeah… (goes back to the girl and scrutinizes her nose)
Girl: I never did my nose!
JE: Why not, you should get a nose job. (wahahaha!!!)
-> Ji-eun was at the swimming pool and was thinking who to take to the engagement party and pose as her boyfriend. She says she needs someone new, someone her friends don’t recognize. Sae-hoon arrives at the pool because when he called her house, he was told that Ji-eun’s at a swimming pool. Ji-eun was about to leave when she drops her things including her drink, she was to step on the broken pieces of glass when Sae-hoon touched her feet. She was like , “what are you doing?” but Sae-hoon just did that to stop her from stepping on the broken glasses. When she realizes that, she was touched. Sae-hoon apologizes to her for slapping her the other day and says that Ji-eun was wrong too, with that, he turns to leave. Ji-eun, feeling guilty, yells at him, “Wait! I’ll return you bag but on one condition.” (You guys prolly know already that she’s gonna make him pose as her boyfriend.)
-> She’s waiting for Sae-hoon when she sees a girl reaching for her balloon stuck on a tree branch. She was trying to get it for the girl but she couldn’t do it. Until, some guy’s hand got the balloon for her. It was Sae-hoon! (That was sweet…)
-> Ji-eun brings Sae-hoon to a boutique to dress him up without telling him what’s up. So mad Sae-hoon walks out on her. finally, she decides to tell him and the reason why she didn’t tell him in the beginning is because she knew he wouldn’t agree to her condition. Anyways, she’s gonna give him his bag back. They proceed to her car to get his bag.
JE: Now that you have your bag you’ll leave, wont you. (Sae-hoon turns his back and starts walking) Are you really going to leave? I’m begging you. You’re bad. I’m begging you. (Sae-hoon still walking) How could you really leave? (Ji-eun following retreating Sae-hoon) You have no heart! You’re a stubborn idiot! You’re horrible! (Ji-eun throws her shoes at Sae-hoon, he stops and looks at pitiful Ji-eun)
-> Finally, Ji-eun made Sae-hoon pose as his boyfriend. She makes him over to look decent enough to be her boyfriend. Upon arriving to the party place, she hooks arms with Sae-hoon and says, “We’re boyfriend and girlfriend from now on.” They go inside and Ji-eun introduces Sae-hoon as her boyfriend.
Friend: So how did you and Ji-eun met? (Ji-eun looks at Sae-hoon worried, but Sae-hoon comes up with a fast answer.)
SH: We were in a car accident, I stole her bag after the accident. (lol)
Friend: So you could see her again?
SH: Yes.
Friend: It’s like in the movies! (kilig pa eh!)
Ji-eun walks near her friend who’s getting engaged and asks for the necklace. The friend was going to take it off when Ji-eun says not to bother anymore and just be happy with Min-woo. Sae-hoon smiles at what Ji-eun just said.
-> Sitting at the dinner table, a guest places orange juice on the table. Ji-eun starts “achoo-ing” and Sae-hoon looks at her as if saying, “What’s wrong with you?” Ji-eun picks up and tells him that she’s allergic to oranges. The nice guy that he is, he stands up and motions Ji-eun to his seat so that they could exchange. (gosh, what a gentleman!)
-> They see the phoenix painting for the first time. They were talking about how a phoenix and love are similar. Sae-hoon thinks it’s about sacrifice while Ji-eun thinks it’s because both are passionate. Ji-eun is amazed about how smart he is, she made a funny remark, “I thought you only knew fix broken TVs because you’re’ an electrical engineering major but you seem to be very smart.” (lol.) Then they share KISS # 1 (SH kissed JE) but it really didn’t happen in real life, it was juts Ji-eun’s imagination. When she woke up from her daydream, Sae-hoon was already walking away, she yells at him to wait for her because she’ll drop him off. (damn, I like Lee Seo-jin’s jawline when he kissed Lee Eun-joo here! Why do I bother about people’s jawlines? It’s all because of this Jo Hansun! Now I begin to notice everyone’s jawlines whenever they kiss!)
-> As soon as Ji-eun’s sits at the driver’s seat, she throws shoes at the back.
JE: I drive barefoot. Are you curious why? (Sae-hoon’s just quiet) It’s a secret but I have flat feet.
SH: I knew it when I touched your foot at the pool.
JE: I’m going to report you if you spread it around.
-> (omg omg love this part!) Ji-eun didn’t drive him home but instead went to the harbor to ride a ferry. (Ferries are a really popular date spot in Korea, I wonder why.) Ji-eun gets off the car but Sae-hoon’s not budging.
JE: Do I have to open your door?
Next scene, they’re already on the ferry.
JE: When do you want so see me again? I plan to see you again. (haha, she’s really so forward!)
SH: I have no plans to see you again.
JE: Then you should start making plans. (She amazes me!)
SH: Whom do you take after?
JE: Me? My mom says I look like Audrey Hepburn.
Ji-eun sticks a post-it on Sae-hoon’s suit. The post-it reads: I’M SORRY ABOUT MY BAD BEHAVIOR LAST TIME.
SH: Forget it. I have. Did you bring me here to tell me that?
JE: Jang Sae-hoon, do you want to go out with me? Let’s date. (hala, siya na nag-propose!)
SH: Do you think we’re right for each other? We have nothing in common.
JE: Why do we need anything in common? It doesn’t matter as long as we like each other. (she takes out her pen that looks exactly like Sae-hoon’s, she saw it when she stole his bag) We do have something in common.
SH: What do you think is the ending when a poor student starts to date a rich girl?
JE: We can go out and see.
SH: I don’t go on dead end streets.
JE: None knows what the ending will be. What’s important is that we’re attracted to each other.
SH: I’m not attracted to you.
JE: Don’t lie. You’re just trying to protect yourself from getting hurt. Of course, you have to hide your feelings sometimes but you lose a lot more when youi hide your feelings. Be true to your feeling, like me.
SH: Don’t think you know what my feelings are.
JE: Fine, I’ll prove to you that you like me too.
Ji-eun shifts to the other side of the rails of the ferry.
SH: What are you doing?
JE: I’m going to jump. I’m going to let go. (Sae-hoon ignores her thinking she’s just bluffing) Jang Sae-hoon, I don’t know how to swim. Are you just going stand there? (But little by little, Sae-hoon’s getting worried that she might actually jump) Come here and hold my hand. I’m scared! You like me too. (He wants to get hold of her but at the same time, he wants to prove her wrong) I’m going to believe that you’ll hold my hand.
Ji-eun lets go and as fast as a breeze (joke joke, di naman.), Sae-hoon runs to her, stops her hand from slipping, hugs her and pulls her up to bring her back into the ferry. (wehehe, tagumpay si Ji-eun!) They hug long and KISS #2 (JE kissed SH, this girl talaga!) happens. (But technically, it’s their first. Sila na! ang bilis diba?)
-> Super fun fun moments of the new couple Sae-hoon and Ji-eun followed. (lol) KISS # 3 happens at a bookstore where Ji-eun finds postcard of the Phoenix painting. Again, she was the one who kissed him. (hehe. Ang cutie din ni LSJ pag naka-side view!)
Another cute part is when Sae-hoon was studying and Ji-eun notices that girls are looking his way. She writes “STAY AWAY” on a post-it and sticks it on Sae-hoon’s jacket. (lol. Possessive! Gosh, waah!!! LSJ’s smile! The smile! The smile!)
-> Then realization strikes. Ji-eun and her mom were driving when her mom decides to refill the gas tank at Ho-jin’s gas station. Ji-eun was like, “Can we go to a different gas station?” since she knows Sae-hoon would be there. But her mom insists that they go there since Ho-jin’s family is a friend of theirs. So Ji-eun wasn’t able to do anything about it. Sae-hoon was all smiles when he saw her but Ji-eun signaled that her mom’s with her and they kind of have to pretend they don’t know each other even if the mom is treating Sae-hoon like trash just because he’s a part-time worker and poor. Ji-eun couldn’t do anything about it. They left as it is but Ji-eun decides that she has to go back and talk to Sae-hoon so she tells her mom that she has to go meet Mi-ran. She goes back to the gas station and tries to talk to Sae-hoon. As in super kulit that she’ll follow him around.
JE: You must be angry. Please don’t be angry anymore.
SH: I’m not angry.
JE: You are. The reason I didn’t introduce you to my mom was…
SH: That’s enough.
JE: Should I stand over there with my hands up? Until you’re not angry with me anymore? (That’s what she does to her dad when she sins)
SH: Stop acting like a kid and go away.
JE: Then think of me as a kid and forgive me! Let’s talk.
SH: Later. I’m working.
JE: I won’t budge until you’re not upset with me anymore.
Break up…Sae-hoon tells her that it’s not gonna work between them so it’s better just to end it.
JE: I cant end it like this. Never.
SH: There’s no such thing as “never” in this world. (Remember this line.)
JE: Do you really want to end it? Look at me and say it. Look at me and say it!
SH: You and I, we’re through.
*** There goes episode 1, they met, dated and broke up...all in one episode. They kissed thrice too. (Lol.)

EPISODE 2
-> But our Ji-eun is super persistent, she would go to his school but Sae-hoon would push her away. She even waited outside his house even if it’s raining. One night, Sae-hoon sees her drunk outside.
JE: I drank a little. I drank because I was angry with you. I drank because my love was so sad. I drank because I love you no matter what. And then…I drank again to be more courageous.
They get back together here because it hurts them both to be separated from one another. KISS # 4 happens. (I really take notice of the kiss, huh?)
-> By talking to her mother the prev episode, Ji-eun found out that her parents actually got married because her mom was pregnant. (Her parents are kinda like them, her dad was poor while her mom is rich, so I don’t understand why they couldn’t get Sae-hoon and Ji-eun) so Ji-eun plans to do the same thing. What’s funny is that she even studied how to get pregnant!
-> I like this scene where Sae-hoon and Ji-eun are dancing because the background music is “And I love you so”…I so love that song!!
-> They’re really super sweet, like a real couple. As what Ji-eun planned, she and Sae-hoon goes Jeju but she didn’t tell him about her plan to actually do it. The only people who knows are Bok-ja and Mi-ran (she owns the Jeju villa). They were sitting together, watching the sunset.
JE: What are you thinking?
SH: Same thing as you.
JE: That we should but is villa and live here together?
SH: That I have to make a lot of money to buy this villa.
JE: Are you really going to buy this for me? When?
SH: About 10 years later.
(Remember this scene.)
And JI-eun pushes through with her plan…Sae-hoon was gonna call her so they can leave but sees her in a lingerie. KISS # 5 happens and something more than that. (lol) Ji-eun explains to Sae-hoon why she did that, it was the only way to save their relationship. Unfortunately, Ji-eun’s parents came and saw them in that condition. Her mom was like, “Aigoo, aigoo, my head hurts.” (She’s always like that! Now how did Ji-eun’s parents found out? They saw Mi-ran in Seoul when Ji-eun told them that she’s with her in Jeju.)
-> So they were forced to separate again. Ji-eun’s parents wouldn’t let her out of the house until her flight back to Boston. On her last night in Seoul, she escapes through Bok-ja’s help. She goes to Sae-hoon’s place and they say their goodbyes to each other.
JE: I’ll write.
SH: I wish I could give you something. I have nothing to give you but this. (this-> their common pen)
JE: This is the same pen I have.
JE: It’s the only thing I have of my dad’s.
JE: I’ll treasure it. I’ll write you with this. If you have something from a person, you’ll end up meeting that person. (takes out her own pen) You keep mine.
Ji-eun gets on the cab to go back home as she’s leaving the following day.
JE: Don’t skip meals and don’t get sick. I won’t say goodbye because we’ll meet again.
As Ji-eun’s cab drives away…Sae-hoon says, “I’ll never helplessly watch you leave again.” (heukheuk.)
-> In Boston, Ji-eun sees a guy who reached for a girls’ balloon so she calls, “Sae-hoon si! Sae-hoon si!” but it turns out to be another guy, not Sae-hoon. This is the first time she and Jung-min (Eric without facial hair! So cute!!) meet. (But it won’t really register to her.)
-> Her plan actually worked! She’s preggy! So she flies back fast to Seoul and surprises Sae-hoon. Sae-hoon was doubtful at first because he doesn’t know how he’s gonna support his family since he’s still studying and only works part-time but Ji-eun tells him that her parents would help them . So they go to ask Ji-eun’s parents’ permission but it didn’t go as they planned. Her parents strongly object and she was asked to choose between them and Sae-hoon. Ji-eun chooses Sae-hoon. Her dad disowns her.
-> My reaction here was: Weh??? They were married??? I was really shocked!
-> Sae-hoon asks Ji-eun what she wants to eat for dinner and Ji-eun answers, “Lobster!” (anak ng tokwa, Ji-eun, that’s expensive!) But the super understanding hubby that he is, Sae-hoon still bought her lobster.
-> Sae-hoon is kinda disappointed that Ji-eun couldn’t even clean the house or wash the dishes when he’s working his butt off, while Ji-eun is kinda getting sick of leading a poor life that she starts receiving help from her mom when they agreed in the beginning of their marriage that they won’t accept any help from her parents. One night, Ji-eun was cleaning when she decides to takes off her ring. It wouldn’t come off easily so when it finally did, it rolled to under the table. She was reaching for it when she knocks the CPU that Sae-hoon’s working on and fells to the floor. Sae-hoon gets angry because it’ll cause them a whole month’s budget to pay for it. Ji-eun says she’ll pay for it. Grabbing her purse, the contract for the condo fell from it. (Ji-eun’s mom was offering them to move to a condo that she bought but Sae-hoon doesn’t want to because he’s sticking to his pride not to accept any help from her parents, it’ll only prove them right that he only married Ji-eun for money, which isn’t the case.) Sae-hoon gets even madder and they had a huge fight. Ji-eun tells him that he’s sick and tired of living in that place and she doesn’t understand why he wouldn’t want to accept anything. Sae-hoon tells her then to just go back to he parents because it’s not too late. Ji-eun is so hurt that she runs away. Inside the house, Sae-hoon hears Ji-eun’s scream. Just like the CPU, (lol, what a stupid comparison!) Ji-eun slipped and fell.
