Man, I’m getting addicted to English translated Korean internet novels!!! To my boyfriend is the 4th one I’m reading!! (after a wolf’s attraction, the guy was muhshesuh and to my boyfriend – which I stopped reading for a while to start on do re mi! wehehe. )Gui yeoni is just super talented. Hands down! This novel is my favorite so far! It even topped a wolf’s attraction (which has a special place in my heart because of jo hansun, harhar) for me! It has the best blend of comedy, drama and romance of the 4 I’ve read. I was really crying at most of the scenes, I read it during the wee hours of the morning so I was free to cry since everyone in my house is asleep. When I woke up in the afternoon, my eyes were puffy and I had colds, no kidding. I like YOON JUNGWON (the heroine) best (of all the heroines of gui yeoni’s novels) because she’s a fighter. Like always, she’s the narrator. I like SHIN EUNGYU because he’s a musician, I dunno, there’ something attractive about a guy who sings. I’m right, am I? and I think he’s really hot. Plus….YOON JAEGWANG! Jungwon’s younger brother! He rocks, man. I wish I had a brother like him! He knows kendo and judo so he protects her sister all the time. My 2 brothers are so useless. (hehe..i’m mean.) I actually like KANG HEEWON too although he’s a bastard in the beginning but there’s a valid reason why he’s like that. The dialogues are written sooo well. So many quotable quotes. Most of the time, the dialogues are the main reason why I cried. But of course, it was funny and romantic as well. I dunno how many times I said “man, this is so good!” while reading. I really hope they turn this into a movie too. It’s interesting to know who’d play the 3 main characters. But I’m really weird…I have a character in mine for jaegwang. Ricky – micky’s (of dbsg) younger brother. I know. I know. He’s not even 18. He’s darn 13! But heck, he seems to be always in my mind these days. Damn kid!
Parts (scenes/dialogues) I really liked… (just like what I did with a wolf…cant help it…which reminds me, I haven’t done that guy was cool!!!)

This scene is very reminiscent if dms and lei fighting over shancai…the only difference is..hyungpal’s not “flowery”…hehe..you guys know what I mean…]
EG: “She’s my Carrier.. Give her to me.”
Shin Eungyu took a hold of my wrist and started to pull.
And to counter that, Hyungpal pulled on my right wrist.
And then with my loud voice...

Wordlessly, he started in the direction of his home.
JW: “Haha! What’s this? Did you come out because you thought I’d be getting wet? What a cutie!!” [--> I agree! What a cutie!!]
EG: “You’re parents are fixing the attic stairs right now, don’t go home right now.”
JW:“Did you come out to tell me that...??”
EG: +Nod, Nod+

JW: “Hey~ Wait for me, Give me your guitar. I’ll hold it for you!”

JW: “..why? I came here to carry it for you.”
EG: “You’re hurt..” [--> ahhh!! What a sweetheart!]
JW: “+grin+ I thought you said you’re not interested in other people’s business!! Why’d you help me in the first place??”
EG: “I don’t know.. It just pissed me off.. I don’t like getting pissed off.”
JW: “Look! These are signs of liking! Admit it~ You like me!!!” [--> hehehe..]
Shin Eungyu looked at me with an expression that said, ‘what kind of girl is this’ and continued to walk.

[jaegwang doesn’t like jungwon talking to eungyu because he heard he killed someone..]

Oppah: “Yoona, the person who sings here is about your age. Kills at singing..” [--> eungyu]
YN: “Is it a girl?”
Oppah: “No, a guy. When you see him, you’ll probably fall for him. After my friend hired him, he’s had more customers than ever.”

Oppah: “Go in and see. He’s in today. Hmm, I’m not sure how old he is.”

[jungwon was avoiding him after jaegwang told her that he killed someone, when they saw each other at the café, she told him that she doesn’t wan to talk to him because he’s disgusting…after a week, she sees him drank…]
Like always.. I was about to pass him with a blank face when...
EG: “Why...... am I disgusting....” [--> ahh, so it affected him!]

*I was crying so hard during the part involving jungwon and heewon!! It was so sad, they were old friends but an incident broke them apart, since then, heewon hated her.
JG: “Tell my nuna that the hyung next door isn’t a murderer... it was the hyung’s friend.. Tell my nuna not to hit me.. TT_TT...” [--> thank god!]

[when eungyu gave jungwon back her ID]
That night.. at the live cafe... his bruised lip and swollen eye...

JW: “You... got caught trying to look for this.. didn’t you.. That’s why your lip was bruised.. right..”
EG: “No, it’s because I was kissing a girl and she bit my lip.”
JW: “....then why was your eye swollen...”

[they decided to take neoprints..well actually eungyu decided, jungwon was totally against it, but did he listen? You wish!]
Shin Eungyu pulled me into the photo arcade we had gone to before.
JW: I’m not going to take pictures! No! Our face sizes will be too comparable!!”
EG: “Well, pull your head back a little!”
And then, Shin Eungyu quickly put some change into the machine.
EG: “Panorama? Or no panorama?!”
JW: “Don’t do the one where it takes a lot of pictures! I’m not good at that.”
EG: “Okay! Panorama!”

He went into the ice cream shop and Shin Eungyu bought 2 strawberry cones.. I HATE strawberry ice cream.. But he shoved it into my hand anyways...
JW: “I don’t like strawberry!!” [--> he doesn’t let her have her way, does he?]
EG: “Then eat the cone.”

EG: “I’ve always wanted to eat ice cream with my girlfriend if I ever got one.”
JW: “Then why didn’t you?!”

This is the first Japanese series I’ve ever watched. In fairness, it made me cry. The last 2 episodes are the tearjerkers. Manato is one hell of a guy. I love him! How can he have kept his feelings for that long? Hay grabe. The characters:

--> tackey is the only person I know in this series when I was watching it. then after, I researched and I found out that yui is played by kyoko fukada! Ya I know, she’s popular but I’m really not into Japanese idols so I don’t know. I’m sure I have heard her name before because she’s in friends with won bin. I only know her by name and I haven’t seen her picture before. She’s pretty young she just turned 22 last nov 2. She’s really cute, she’s like an anime character that came to life. So now, I’m wondering because I’m pretty sure that I heard she and won bin were an item before. Hmm… rina uchiyama. I know she has a thread in tvsf because I’m always in the actress R forum because of Rainie Yang. I checked out her thread as well and I found out she also just turned 23 last Nov 7. While watching SOS, I’ve always said that she resembles Megan Lai Ya Yan (mimi of mg2), I even theorized that it must be her. Hehe. Only younger looking (since the series was done in 2001 naman) and with shorter hair. kubozuke yousuke. I know he has a thread in tsinoy and I read the entire thread basically because it said that he was in GTO. But it’s so stupid of me not to recognize him while watching SOS! But ate ryza jie he looks awfully young in GTo s compared to how he looked in SOS. Well, GTO was done 3 years before SOS. I wanted to bang my head on the wall for not recognizing him. I didn’t even think he looked familiar…at all. I actually didn’t find him cute in the beginning but as the series went on, I started to like him. He’s pretty cute especially in the last scene where they showed a pic of him and haruka. He’s so cute there. Parang jerry yan, ikaw ba yan? Wehehe. What I found about him is that he has wife and a son already. He’s 25. he smoked a lot in this series. Again, because of the cold climate. I think tackey too, I didn’t see him smoke in the series but prolly in real life because his lips are not very red. Or maybe it’s just really cold. I dunno. Why am I making a big fuss about this? Anyways, I really flipped when I found out that all 4 of them are really popular Japanese idols! I bet this is the start of my fascination with Japanese actors because for sure I’m gonna start researching about other people or just anything connected to them. Trust me, I pretty much started with f4 and now I’m addicted to HK, Taiwanese and Korean everything! Haiz.
Ok, back to the series. LOVED THIS SCENES!! All yui-manato. Hehe.
-> episode 3 (I think) … yui finds out that senpai (saeki) is in love with someone else but she doesn’t want to give up. Yui tells manato about this when they were brushing their teeth in the bathroom. Yui asks him to cheer her on and not to give up.
-> dunno what episode…the sunset scene…manato, yui, haruka and senpai goes on a trip to the beach. They were having a marathon, haruka (duh, she’s an athlete!) and saeki were the frontrunners while yui and manato were being left behind. At some point, yui falls and manato helps her to get up. Then they see the sun setting. They stop and just take in the beauty of the sunset, holding hands.
-> it’s valentines day…yui goes to senpai’s house to give him the homemade chocolate she did. But mariko sensei is actually inside the apartment with him (they have a relationship) so they couldn’t open up. Yui just waits outside even when rain starts pouring. After a while, an umbrella appears above her head, it was manato. The first words he said were, “let’s go home.” (aahh…) it doesn’t matter if he’s getting wet just as long as yui is dry.
-> manato needs to take pictures to include in his letter to hirase ai, the last is for his pic with yui. Manato is somewhat uncomfortable when she sits on his lap since he’s secretly in love with his stepsister.
-> yui attacks mariko sensei unconsciously, manato piggybacks her and takes her home.
-> yui couldn’t sleep and wants to sleep beside manato. It was really cute, purely innocent besides the fact that, yeah, manato is in love with yui!
It happens again on episode 10, this time the bed is smaller so yui says to just hold her from the back. Funny when she says, “but you can’t touch my chest.” Haha.
-> really loved manato here. Yui is sick but she gets out of the house to go this building near their school where she could senpai playing the piano. Manato follows her once and finds out about it. but instead of stopping her from doing this, he even starts to take her there just so she’s not alone. Gawd, what a guy!
-> manato looks for yui in the snowy mountain.
-> he finally finds her and they stay in some roof. Manato was keeping her warm because obviously it’s snowing! They were hugging each other and their bodies are so close to keep the warmth. There, he tells yui about his feelings for her.
-> the ending: they become a couple! Yey. What’s funny is that they live in the same house but yui actually asked him that they just meet somewhere instead of leaving the house together. Hehe.
I also like the scene where yui is teaching manato how to kiss and when their lips are almost gonna touch, yui says something like, “and the rest will just happen.” Haha. sabay enter her room. Then later, manato is thinking of having sex and asks yui about it, she was like, “oh you can’t practice that with me!” hehe.
NOTES:
+ Gawd, I got so addicted with chiquitita and SOS by ABBA for days! I don’t even know the lyrics but I’m singing it like a broken record!
+ The guy who played haruka’s tutor (is sex ed included in that service huh? Hehe) is cute too! Too bad, he only has a small role.
+ I actually learned many Japanese words because every time there’s a new Japanese word, a translation would flash at the top of the screen. This series is actually helpful in learning jap. Hehe. It’s just that most are too long that I couldn’t remember and I wasn’t able to take notes. Sayang. I could remember some though:

Even love generation, the one that ate ryza wants me to borrow because she seems to be stuck with episode 1 and a lot others. Thank god to that site, I was able to read the summary of episode 8 of SOS, since disc 8 didn’t play in my player.
I actually watched this movie last Tuesday afternoon pa. But I’ve been lazy these days, too lazy to take screencaps of my fave scenes. I can’t post it up anyways. Hehe. And then during the next few days, I got busy decorating our house. Yeah, since I’m on a break, I’ve been tasked to put up the Christmas decors. I’ve been doing it for a week and I haven’t finished yet! I get tired easily. I’m getting fat. My dad doesn’t forget to remind me everyday. Meanie. Ok back to arrogant. I loved the movie!!!

SYNOPSIS:
High school girl ha-young accidentally breaks a guy’s car when she randomly kicks a softdrink can because she’s pissed that her boyfriend broke up with her the day before their 100th day.Since she has no money to pay for the damages, she agrees to be his slave for 100 days. But it will be tough because this guy’s an ass. (oops…)
FAVE SCENES:
1) hyung-joon was walking (uh, in his trunks because he was swimming and he just got out of the pool) and all the girls are going gaga over him. He bumps into a girl who’s so busy checking him out that she almost breaks his skull because she almost fell to the floor. (Ok so that was exaggerated, hehe) he actually protects her from falling and says, “be careful, you might hurt…ME!” sabay taas ng kilay (obvious naman sa pic diba? That’s proof #1 that he’s an ass.)
2) ha-young wakes up one morning and sees that she’s surrounded by cops, asking her to surrender because of running away from paying the damages, it gets worse when they start firing targeting her room, and then her phone rings. Chill, she was dreaming. Hehe.
3) after school, some girls were gathered looking at something, her friends were like, “are they giving out free tampons?” but they’re actually looking at paper ads with “kang ha-young come out now!” written on them. Ha-young was taking them off when she sees hyung-joon actually there. He carries her and walks away from the girls. ha-young asks for help but the looks on her friends faces as if are saying, “what’s with you? You’re being taken away by a hot guy and that’s a problem?” hehe. Gumawa daw me ng sariling dialogue.
4) so they were in his car, hyung-joon starts with “it’s a beautiful day to go to the police station”, ha-young’s imagination then runs wild, when hyung-joon mentions police station, she imagines herself being tortured. Then hyung-joon changes his mind and says, “We should go to the mountain instead”, this time, ha-young imagines herself tied while hyung-joon digs the place where to bury her. Hehe.
5) ha-young draws a heart together with her signature on the enslavement agreement. Hehe. Childish.
6) hyung-joon ordered a lot of food but for him alone, he gives his card to ha-young so that she could buy fortune cookies. (What a meanie!) But ha-young got smart and buys a lot of food for her too. hehe.
7) ha-young finds out that hyung-joon actually moved in to the apartment in front of hers. Hehe.
8) ha-young tells her whole class about hyung-joon, saying the reverse of what’s really happening between them. Like she says that he actually wants to be her slave when it’s actually the other way around.
9) hyung-joon calls her because she needs him, so she has no other choice but to skip class. She sprays something to her eyes to make them look swollen so her teacher would allow her to go home. (gawd, the things ha-young have to do for this a**hole!!)
10) omg! This is so funny! So ha-young arrives at hyung-joon’s pad and he asks for the password. Ha-young goes, “c’mon, I’m not in the mood.” But hyung-joon insists, “ok so I’m just gonna go to your parents and tell them?” ha-young has no choice but to ask for the password and hyung-joon tells her it’s “sailormoon”. She then says the word “sailormoon” but hyung-joon says, “No, imitate her.” (shucks!) Even if she doesn’t wanna do it, she did it anyways. (Hahahaha. That’s freaken’ embarrassing.) Then there’s a woman who saw her doing that. Hehe.
11) after cleaning his house, hyung-joon gives her some money to buy fortune cookies (not again!), she gets out of his pad looking like sh*t. super tired with clothes ripped. She hops on the elevator with the same woman who saw her do the sailormoon imitation. It was so funny because the woman thinks that she’s prostituting herself because she has money on her hand, her hands and mouth are tired and her clothes are so dirty and ripped.
12) hyung-joon goes to ha-young’s school because she’s been avoiding him. He mistakes ha-young’s classmate as her, the classmate, who spits as self-defense, spits on his face. (Haha. buti nga!)
13) hyung-joon finally sees ha-young and runs after her. Funny scene: where she hides somewhere and then shows up when hyung-joon was turning back and hides back when he turns around. Hehe.
14) hyung-joon then thinks of a way to get back at ha-young. He posted ads on walls about a tutor available so that ha-young’s mom could see them and think of hiring a tutor for ha-young since her grades are flunking. Hyung-joon posted them everywhere the mom goes – supermarket, elevator, etc but the mom wouldn’t notice them most of the time, finally she sees the one pasted on their door! (whew!) When ha-young gets home, her mom introduces her new tutor – hyung-joon!
So they start the class, hyung-joon asks her about the multiplication table, uhm, 6X8, ha-young goes, “uhm, 48? 38? 28? Something with 8 right?” the funniest art is when hyung-joon asks her about formulas. Ha-young tells him that’s her weakest spot so he tells her to name any formula she knows. Then she starts singing…why? Because ethe title of the song is “FORMULA OF GOODBYE”! (wahahahahaha!)
15) they go to a sauna and hyung-joon orders ha-young to give him a back massage, then she starts tickling him and then the same woman sees them again with the same reactions! Haha.
16) they run out of gas and naturally, hyung-joon makes ha-young push the car while he’s sitting pretty on the driver’s seat, ha-young looks up to see the sign of the next gas station: 10 km away! (Poor poor poor ha-young)
17) when they reach the apartment complex, it begins raining. Ha-young takes out her umbrella and shares it with hyung-joon because “rain will make you go bald.” Then hyung-joon walks away from her with the umbrella, leaving her soaking under the rain. He then turns around, ha-young thinks he’s coming back for her but he actually just turned on the alarm of his car. (What an a~~!)
18) they go on this summer trip…every time ha-young would try to get close with hyung-joon, he would embarrass her.
a) they’re in a ride (something like anchor’s away of EK), she hugs onto him because she’s scared, batukan ba naman siya!
b) they lie on the ground and talk about if ha-young has had her first kiss already, then hyung-joon nears his face to hers, she thinks he’s gonna kiss her but tinuktukan siya because she was resting her head on his arm and it’s making it fall asleep.
c) ha-young watches her friend hyun-joo and hyung-joon’s friend getting along pretty well, she’s kinda jealous. Then hyung-joon wakes up and kicks her in the head saying she’s too noisy!

19) they were gonna go bungee jumping, the instructor asks ha-young what her weight is. She tells him it’s 50 kg, then the instructor reminds her that if she’s lying about her weight, the rope might snap so it’s very dangerous. She corrects it and says she actually weighs 53 kg. The pair behind them were laughing at ha-young so hyung-joon defends her and ridicules the guy’s girlfriend as well. Haha. (kapal nga nung face ng guy eh, hello? Your gf is much fatter than ha-young kaya!)
20) while hyung-joon was fighting with the guy, ha-young feels dizzy and falls from (the place where you bungee jump- I dunno what it’s called!!), hyung-joon goes to jump after her to save her. He already has rope tied around him while ha-young doesn’t. (uy, he’s falling for her na!)
21) ha-young gets a dare to drink this nasty mixture of sorts (like there are spits in it etc, totally yucky!), she was about to drink it when hyung-joon snatches the bowl from her and drinks it instead. (Aahhh, black knight!!! This totallt reminds me of to my boyfriend!)
22) ha-young’s friend sees that she brought a gift. She thought that it’s hyung-joon’s birthday when it’s actually the 100th day, meaning she’s freed from the enslavement agreement. So the begin passing the paper bag around until it reaches hyung-joon, he opens it and reads the card – hyung-joon, happy birthday. Her gift was a boxer short. What’s funny is that he wore it while singing on stage! Haha.
23) he brings her home and kisses her in the parking lot. Too bad ha-young’s mom saw it!
What’s funny is that her mom confronted hyung-joon about it but she goes, “I could really hurt you for this, but because you’re cute, I’ll let it pass this time.” She like repeated “but because you’re cute” twice or thrice! The mom is so comedy din!
24) this is so kaiyak. So hyung-joon has no other choice but to move out. On the 100th day, he was actually gonna give her a ring but he forgot. Then her mom seeing them kiss happened so he never had the opportunity to give her the ring. When ha-young checked their mail, she sees an envelope from hyung-joon with the ring inside, she hurries to his pad only to see it empty. Plus plus, the song playing on the background in this scene is just so sad.
25) the ending was cute!!! Just watch it! Don’t wanna spoil it for ya!
MY 2 CENTS:
…before watching, I don’t really like both actors. Why? Ha ji won -> because his leading men are all my crushes!! (Shallow huh? Yeah, I’m a bad fan.) kim jae won -> I just like kim rae won better. (Another shallow reason) but after watching this movie, I soo love ha ji won na!!! She’s so effective as a high school girl besides the fact that she’s 25 already! She’s a good actress! I just felt her. I like it when she says, “huh?” so cute. I love her facial expressions. As for KJW…I still like kim rae won more. Hehe… The movie is very light. Hilarious. Whenever ha-young imagines all these things, she exaggerates them so they turn out very funny. I’m gonna rate this movie the same as little bride.

# I read on vannanaland that there’s a rumor of a movie with won bin and jang dong gun. I think Vanness is popular in Korea. I really wish this is true, since I heard a rumor last year naman about a movie with won bin and takeshi kaneshiro but I dunno whatever happened to that. *fingers crossed and super-glued*
# I wanna watch JUNG WOO-SUNG and SON YE-JIN’s new movie – a moment to remember! JWS really reminds me of Jo Hansun my love.
# I love andy more than dongwan now. Maybe it’s because of his tie. Or the sando. Darn these sando guys! But junjin is still my #1 shinhwa. I wish pops in seoul would show the MV of crazy this Friday! I just watched the movie MAKE IT BIG and the only thing I can say is SSH ans KSW are hella hot! Woohoo!! Well the movie is so funnyu but the main attraction are these 2 actors of course. Plus they’re hot bodies. Hehe…

Wehehe. What I found about him is that he has wife and a son already. He’s 25. he smoked a lot in this series. Again, because of the cold climate. I think tackey too, I didn’t see him smoke in the series but prolly in real life because his lips are not very red. Or maybe it’s just really cold. I dunno. Why am I making a big fuss about this? Anyways, I really flipped when I found out that all 4 of them are really popular Japanese idols! I bet this is the start of my fascination with Japanese actors because for sure I’m gonna start researching about other people or just anything connected to them.
